So here is my obligatory Instagram before-and-after makeup picture which I posted the day after the wedding |
Where do I start? It has been 135 days since our wedding and although I've forgotten majority of the products I used on my face, I will never forget the feeling of apprehension as I put on my makeup that day. I was nervous, shaky, and I am unsure of what my next step would be.
Before our wedding day, I did not take any formal classes, I just relied on Youtube tutorials and wedding blogs. I committed a lot of makeup no-nos. I didn't know half of what I know now. But I didn't regret a thing. Doing my own wedding makeup was something special for me. I did a lot of DIYs for our wedding, but this one was the toughest. I was under a lot of pressure, and I had to look my best.
I can attest to the miracle that God gave me clear skin on the month of our wedding. I did not have anything to conceal, except for one little scar I have on my cheek. I am also lucky that I got enough sleep the night before so I looked fresh and vibrant.
Call it beginner's luck, but I think I did well on my DIY wedding makeup. It was hard but it was worth it. A lot of people complimented me. Of course I had to be beautiful,
ako yung bride e!
